I must that it is rare that I agree with the bloggers over at Left in Lowell.
They are correct that Dr. Baehr has been maligned by elected officials in Lowell.
The good Doctor has been attacked for not hiring 100% of school principals from within the ranks of Lowell teachers. At least that is how I might interpret the demands since 70% of all promotions came from within the current Lowell employee base.
Only an idiot would expect that one could always find the best candidate for a position already working in Lowell.
As a taxpayer, I want to be sure that those doing the hiring are only hiring the most qualified. And that means opening the pool to all candidates, not just those working in Lowell.
I have plenty of issues with Lowell school policies, but Dr. Baehr is not personally responsible for the most ridiculous of them.
The policy that requires students to allow themselves to be beaten in order to avoid being suspended for "fighting" is probably the most dangerous to student safety. It is advocated by the same lunatics that think gun free zones are safe.

The Left and Atheists
The nuts on the left are fond of claiming that more people have been killed in the name of God than any other cause. In doing so they must ignore history.
In the last century, the greatest mass murderers had one thing in common. They were all atheist left wing socialist/communists. And they slaughtered their own people.
Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, Castro's count is still climbing, and Chavez is warming up.
China, North Korea, Vietnam. All left wing.
One uneducated person once tried to claim that what defined Nazism as right wing was single party rule dictatorship. This supposition ignores the fact that Cuba, the USSR, China, North Korea, Vietnam as more are left wing communist single party dictatorships.
Nazism differed from communism only by degrees of government control. Nazism was also left wing and also responsible for mass murder by an atheist madman.
The Islamic Jihad whack jobs are pikers by comparison.

Environmentalists are mass murderers
There is a large group that is responsible for more death than just about any other over the last half century.
Environmentalists.
This should come as no surprise because population reduction is one of their goals.
Nearly every action they get gullible politicians to go along with results in more human death. This fact is undeniable. And the science backs this up.
From CAFE fuel economy standards to the DDT ban, millions of lives have been sacrificed at the alter of environmentalist.
One study found that CAFE had cause more than 46,000 deaths in automobile accidents. 46,000 live that would not have been lost had they been in larger, non-CAFE vehicles.
DDT, that has never been proven to cause any harm to animals or humans, saved millions of lives that might otherwise have been lost to malaria and other mosquito born diseases. The resultant increase in population was a lament of the environmentalist movement. This fact is also well documented. There response was to make up scientific sounding lies to push a DDT ban and thus undo the gains of DDT.
Today, there is much in the press about reducing the spread of mosquito born diseases (MBD) in Africa. Yet the only solution offered is mosquito nets for beds. DDT is an inexpensive, effective, and safe means of dealing with MBD's but that would result in increased population in a region that is already being starved to death by their own governments.
If environmentalists really believe that the human population is the problem, they should start practicing what they preach and commit suicide.

At the last debate Hillary identified herself as a "progressive." One might be tempted to think that "Progressive" in this instance derives from "progress" or too move in a positive direction.
However, when one examines the words used by "progressives" and the cause for which they advocate one can not help but conclude that "progressives" stand for:
1. the progressive elimination of personal liberty, to be replaced with "what is best for the community."
2. the progressive elimination of any public expression of faith in anything but government outside one's own home.
3. the progressive use of police state tactics to monitor and censor churches (but not Mosques) lest they preach anything that "progressives" have determined to be hate speech.
4. the progressive elimination of the use of merit by employers to determine who to hire how much an employee will be paid. This already exists in many areas of employment. Progressives seek to expand this to all employment.
5. the progressive elimination of private transportation choice. After all, if not everyone can afford a Mercedes S-Class, then no one should have one. Hillary said there can not be allowed to be a privileged class. S-Class is a symbol of privilege.
6. the progressive elimination of anything that may allow one person to stand out over another as it may be construed as a sign of one person being more privileged than another.
If you think this is crazy, just listen to what the "progressives" say. Just read the histories of dead leftists they honor. And contrary to what progressives say, it is "progressive" atheists that have slaughtered more of their own people in the name of the progressive cause than any group has killed in the name of their God in the last century. Mao, more than 50 Million. Stalin and Lenin over 50 million. Pol Pot, in the millions as many Lowellians of Cambodian decent well know.
Castro's number is still counting. His dead former head goon Che Guevara is another mass murderer who demanded absolute loyalty to government, imprisoned or killed those caught listening to American rock music, yet is he held up as a hero of "counter culture."
So when you hear someone identify themselves as Progressive, know that actual meaning is regressive.

Welcome tothe correct side of Lowell
Welcome.
The intent of this blog is to provide an accurate counter balance to the socialists and communists over at "Left In Lowell."
It is not hard to balance against such foolishness. The blog is far left. This it is a given that they must avoid truths backed by history and science to believe what they claim to believe.
A common theme on leftinlowell is "conservatives are selfish and greedy" because we oppose high taxes and taking from the productive to give to the deliberately unproductive.
Here are the facts. Conservative Christians given 4 times more to charity than secular atheist liberals. Those who self identify as republican, overall given more than 30% more to charity than those who identify themselves as democrat.
Goes right along with the truism that a conservative does charitable work with his own time and money. A liberal does it with his neighbor's time and money.
